The Function of Mold Punch

As the core component of the stamping die, the mold punch is mainly responsible for performing various stamping tasks, covering punching, shearing, bending, step formation, convex bulging, salad processing, sprouting and riveting studs and other operations. These operations transform the material into the desired finished or semi-finished product by changing its shape and structure.

Punch, this metal part, plays the role of punch rod, punch needle or punch in the stamping die. They are precisely mounted on the mold and are used to perform blanking, punching or punching operations continuously and efficiently. The design details and material selection of the punch, especially its shape, dimensional accuracy and hardness, are directly related to the cutting quality, durability and stamping accuracy of the mold.

Not only that, the mold punch is also responsible for controlling the weight of the material being processed. By adjusting the mutual height of the punch and the leveling barrel, and accurately controlling the up and down movement of the punch, the flow rate of molten glass or other materials can be finely adjusted, thereby achieving precise control of the product weight. This capability is particularly important in the production of products that require highly precise weight control, such as glass products.
